Porra Dechdacho successfully defended her master’s thesis “The Influence of Metal-Organic Frameworks on Arsenic Removal from Contaminated Groundwater: Column Experiments and Predictive Field-Scale Simulations”. Congratulations Porra!
Good luck to Porra who will join prof. Peter Kang’s group at the University of Minnesota for her PhD.

Lazaro presented a seminar entitled “Bacterial dispersion and bioclogging in porous media” in the Porous Media Research Lab Seminar Series at Kansas State University

December 2021:
Our SBLab group attended the annual AGU meeting in New Orleans to present our latest works in arsenic remediation and bacterial transport.
Lazaro co-chaired a session on biofilm dynamics

November 2021:
Porra Dechdacho participated in the UNR Grad Students Symposium, where she presented her work entitled “The Influence of an Iron Metal-Organic Framework Material on Arsenic Sorption in Groundwater: Column Experiments and Simulations”, and won the second-best poster in the Physical Sciences and Engineering field. Congratulations Porra!
