Smith Center LogoIn partnership with The Smith Center of Performing Arts, DRI GreenPower presents our winter teacher training focusing on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM) Education through the lens of music. We are thrilled to invite Kennedy Center Master Educator John Bertles who will deliver our Keynote and lead us in workshops throughout the day. The hands on workshops will be inspiring and engaging as you will leave with materials and ideas to incorporate STEAM education into your classroom. Through our exploration of acoustics, oranology (the study of instruments), and music’s effect on the brain we’ll discover how to add the “A” for Art to STEM - and generate STEAM. We will provide continental breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack. There is no cost to attend this training and participants are eligible to receive 0.5 in-service credit.
