Note that this workshop is geared at grade 4-8 educators.

Together, we will explore the energy landscape in Nevada to better understand how natural resources are distributed and extracted across the state. Particular emphasis will be placed on various renewable technologies and human impact on the environment.

Why attend?

  • DRI scientist Eric Wilcox will highlight his research that focuses on solar forecasting 
  • Participants will engage in earth and physical science-themed activities and walk away with tangible resources for classroom implementation.
  • Teachers who complete the training will be eligible to receive 4 hours of in-service credit from the Nevada Department of Education.
  • Registration is free! Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided.
